ICP's first-floor gallery is where the museum gives a single photographer a room rather than a wall, and Hernandez Bricenio has it until September 13. It costs nothing extra on top of the ticket you already need for the Yves Saint Laurent and photobook shows upstairs. If you are doing ICP this weekend, this is the part people skip and then regret skipping.
What to expect
A focused solo presentation on the ground floor of ICP's Ludlow Street building, easily seen on the way in or out. It reads in twenty minutes and pairs with the two larger exhibitions on the same ticket. The building overall takes about ninety minutes.
Good to know
- Take the F to Delancey Street or the J, M or Z to Essex Street
- It is on the first floor, so see it as you arrive rather than saving it for last
- Included with the same admission as the rest of the building
- Thursday evening hours are the quietest slot of the week
- Good for photography audiences; short enough for anyone with limited patience
- Step-free access throughout
