Celebrate Brooklyn! has run out of the Prospect Park Bandshell since 1979, so a satellite date in a Crown Heights neighborhood park is a genuinely different proposition — smaller, closer, rooted in the blocks around it. Black House Radio's whole project is tracing house music back to its Black origins, which lands differently outdoors mid-afternoon than it would in a club. It costs nothing, and the crowd is the neighborhood.
What to expect
A street-closure setup on Park Place with a stage at one end and open standing and dancing space in front. It runs as an afternoon block-party format rather than a ticketed concert, so people drift in and out. Expect neighbors, strollers, folding chairs and a steadily building dance floor.

- Nearest trains are the 3 to Kingston Avenue or the A/C to Nostrand Avenue
- Bring a folding chair or blanket — seating is whatever you carry in
- The Brooklyn Children's Museum is directly adjacent if you are making a day of it with kids
