Dogstar is the rare band whose bassist is also one of the most recognizable actors alive, and the novelty stopped being the point years ago: Domrose writes hooky, road-worn guitar songs and Mailhouse hits hard behind them. Webster Hall's main room is the right scale for it, big enough to feel like an occasion and small enough that the front rail is genuinely close to the stage. If you grew up on 1990s guitar bands and want a show that comes with a story attached, take this one.
What to expect
Three people, loud amps, and almost no production: no video wall, no costume changes, just a rock trio working through its comeback material and older songs.
