Impersonation drag is a different craft from the club-queen circuit — the whole point is the walk, the voice and the costume being close enough to unsettle you — and Illusions has built a national touring show around doing it well. The Hell's Kitchen room plays it as a full brunch cabaret with a host who works the tables hard. It is the drag brunch to pick if you want a show rather than background performance.
What to expect
A seated cabaret room with tables facing a stage, a host working the crowd between numbers and a run of celebrity impersonation sets in full costume. Brunch food comes only from pre-purchased add-on tickets, so nothing is available at the door. There is a two-drink minimum, payable in cash.
