The same three-acre corn maze becomes a completely different proposition once the sun is down and the only light is the torch in your hand - the corn walls close in, sound carries oddly, and the clue stations get genuinely hard to find. Only two Saturday evenings in October run this way, and they are ticketed separately from the daytime maze. If you found the daylight version too easy, or you want the seasonal version of a night hike twenty minutes from the E train, book one of the two nights.
What to expect
Entry after dark into the standing corn with a torch you bring yourself, working the same clue-station route as the daytime maze but with far less visual reference. Expect it to take longer than you think and to be colder in the field than at the gate.

- Bring your own torch or headtorch - the maze is not lit
- Only two evenings run, and they are ticketed separately from the daytime maze
- Take the E or F to Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike then the Q46 bus
- Dress for standing outdoors in the dark in late October
- Dirt paths in the dark make this unsuitable for wheelchairs or strollers
- Better for older kids, teens and adults than for very young children
