Greene Street between Canal and Houston is the densest run of cast-iron architecture anywhere in the world, paved in Belgian block and lined with the 19th-century facades that got SoHo landmarked in the first place, which is exactly why brands pay to activate on it. A street pop-up here is designed to be photographed, and the backdrop does most of the work. If you're shopping SoHo anyway, detour to see what has landed on the cobbles.

What to expect

Walk the block and look for the build — street pop-ups in SoHo typically involve a temporary structure, installation or truck on the roadbed, with staff and often a line. Entry terms vary by activation: some are open walk-up, some require an RSVP. Expect Belgian block underfoot and a lot of people photographing whatever is there.

  • Entry terms vary by activation; some pop-ups require an RSVP and some are walk-up

  • Little shade on the block; bring water on a hot day
  • The SoHo-Cast Iron Historic District is worth walking either side of the visit
