Juniper Valley Park is the big flat green at the centre of Middle Village - ballfields, a running track, tennis courts and a huge open lawn built over what was once a swamp and then a burial ground. It is the natural place for a neighbourhood memorial or legacy event, with room for everyone and paths on every side. Free, outdoors and open to the surrounding blocks.

What to expect

Expect a gathering on the park lawn with tents or tables set up, an all-ages local crowd, and the park's fields, courts and track in use around it. It is a community event rather than a public festival, but the park stays open to everyone. Bring your own seating for a four-hour block.
