An outdoor yoga class is only as good as where it happens, and this one takes place on an open lawn with the East River on one side and long-term sculpture commissions on the other, with the Manhattan skyline filling the whole west view. It is genuinely free and genuinely drop-in, no app, no sign-up, no studio membership pitch at the end. If you want a Sunday morning in Queens that costs nothing and puts you outside, take a towel and turn up.

What to expect

People gather on the lawn with mats and towels and the instructor sets up facing the group. The class is Vinyasa, flowing poses linked to breath, scaled so beginners can follow. Boat traffic, joggers and the occasional dog wander through, and the park stays open around the class the whole time.
