Night Gallery has been one of the rooms that set the tone for the Los Angeles gallery scene for over a decade, and it turns over both of its spaces on the same day. Sarah Miska's Happy Trails comes out of six weeks she spent painting in a converted horse stable in Wyoming, interviewing wranglers and ranch apprentices; the paintings crop in tight on Wranglers, western button-ups, bolo ties and a horse's cautious brown eye. What to expect
A large warehouse gallery split between two solo shows of new paintings, walk-in during gallery hours. Imperial Street sits in the industrial pocket east of the Arts District, so the block is quiet and parking is on the street.
