Brooklyn Flea sets up directly under the Manhattan Bridge archway, which means you shop vintage denim, mid-century furniture and estate jewellery with bridge ironwork overhead and the Manhattan skyline framed at the end of the street. Entry is free and it runs both weekend days through December. If you want the Dumbo photograph and a genuine chance at a find, come early and walk the whole market before buying.

What to expect

Rows of dealer tables under and around the bridge archway, heaviest on vintage clothing, furniture and small antiques, with independent jewellers and makers mixed in. Prices are negotiable with most dealers. The surrounding Dumbo blocks are packed with photographers, so mornings are calmer than afternoons.

Good to know

  • F to York St or A/C to High St, both a short walk into Dumbo.
  • Come at opening for the best selection before dealers thin out.
  • Many dealers negotiate, and cash still helps at smaller tables.
  • Cobblestone streets throughout Dumbo; wear appropriate shoes.
  • Free to browse, so it works as a stop rather than a whole outing.
  • The market runs every weekend of the season, not just this one.
