What to expect
The boardwalk between West 10th and West 15th Streets fills up an hour ahead. You can stand on the sand for an unobstructed view or stay on the boardwalk for the rides-and-lights backdrop. The display runs roughly fifteen minutes off a barge, and the crowd surges toward the subway the moment it ends.
