What to expect
The Creswell Club, a folk group led by bassist Dan Martin, plays sets on the Conservatory Lawn at noon, one and two on weekend days. A drum circle facilitated by Feng Shui Manhattan runs drop-in half-hour sessions at Katsura Triangle. In the Perennial Garden, a friendship bracelet workshop teaches Mayan-inspired weaving. All inside a 250-acre garden you can walk all day.

- The garden is closed Mondays outside select holidays, so plan for a Tuesday-to-Sunday visit.
