A concert grand in a city park, with the sound going straight to headphones, is a very different listen from a hall: the piano is in front of you and the Los Angeles skyline is behind it. This is the series' first visit to Los Angeles in eleven seasons, and of the three LA dates it is the only one the operator still lists for sale. Bishop Canyon is a short drive from Echo Park and Chinatown, so an early dinner nearby works around it.
What to expect
An open lawn rather than rows of seats — people bring camping chairs or blankets and spread out. Headsets come with the ticket and the signal only reaches those headsets, so personal headphones will not pick anything up. Outside food and drink are permitted and nothing is sold on site. The operator's 2026 program draws on Liszt, Fazıl Say, Granados and Ravel, and the selection changes from venue to venue.
