Laura Aguilar grew up in the San Gabriel Valley and spent her career photographing the people and landscapes the art world was not looking at. These pictures, made between 1984 and 1992, are her record of Los Angeles Dia de los Muertos celebrations, and they come from work The Huntington acquired from her estate. September 20 is the first day they are on the wall, with Dia de los Muertos still six weeks out.
