For three evenings The Huntington opens its Chinese Garden after hours to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival, with the pavilions, courtyards and pathways lit up around the central lake. It is one of the most atmospheric ways to spend Moon Festival weekend in the region.

What to expect

Live music plays throughout the garden, specialty vendors sell goods, and food and treats are for sale at Jade Court Cafe, Freshwater Pavilion and the Terrace of Shared Delights. The Huntington describes the evening as suitable for all ages.

Advance tickets are required; there is no walk-up entry.
Each evening runs 6:30–9 p.m. in the Chinese Garden.
