Old World is a purpose-built German village off the 405, which means the Oktoberfest here has an actual biergarten rather than a tent in a parking lot. The Saturday split into an afternoon and an evening session is the useful bit: the 11 a.m. sitting is the family-friendly one, the 6 p.m. sitting runs to 1 a.m. Turn up in a dirndl or lederhosen in the first hour on a Friday or Sunday and admission costs nothing.
