Rare-book rooms rarely put this much on the table at once, and the Garden opened its collection to trace how American gardening actually developed, starting with the first known American cookbook. This is the last weekend the display is up, and it sits inside 385 acres of garden that peak in late September. The Wednesday-to-Sunday noon-to-four window means a weekend visit is one of the few remaining chances.
What to expect
A library gallery inside the Regenstein Center holding rare volumes and prints, a companion LEGO garden build in the same space, and outdoor garden displays elsewhere on the grounds tied to the same theme. No registration is needed and the Garden lists it as fun for all ages.
