About
Disposable – Destinos: 9th Chicago International Latino Theater Festival has enough weekend energy to earn a spot on the board.
Disposable is Jasmin Cardenas's one-person documentary play, built from first-hand accounts, about what low-wage temp workers, day laborers and working professionals have in common. Steppenwolf is hosting it for only three shows as part of the Chicago Latino Theater Alliance's Destinos festival, and the workshop version has toured to festivals in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
What to expect
A 75-minute solo show with no intermission in Steppenwolf's intimate 1700 Theater, written and performed by Cardenas and directed by Francesca Patrón.
