This is the one night a year the San Gabriel Valley's food scene sets up in the street instead of in strip malls, and dumplings are the organizing principle. The Mission District blocks turn into a night market with a dozen-plus dumpling and street-food vendors and a beer garden stocked with SoCal breweries. Entry costs nothing, which makes it an easy Friday evening out east of Downtown.
