This is a neighborhood fair on a beach-town scale: a main stage on Dorsey Field ringed by food vendors, a Kid Country area, booths from local groups and schools, and a community art show inside the Joslyn Center. It is run by a volunteer board with no sponsors, and the organizers put the proceeds back into scholarships and local programs. New this year is open mahjong play, which you can sign up for ahead of time.
What to expect
Crowds of local families moving between the fields, live music from the main stage, shaded seating near the food vendors and a beer garden. The Joslyn Center exhibit hall is air conditioned if you need a break from the sun.

- Accessible parking is first come, first served in the Civic Center lot; enter from Highland Ave and 15th St.
