Oktoberfest Chicago takes over the St. Alphonsus grounds in Lakeview for three days of oompah bands, steins and bratwurst. It has a proper neighbourhood-party feel, with stein-holding contests and polka dancing, and Sunday adds a Kinderfest for families.
What to expect
A beer-tent festival with live German bands, food vendors and contests. Friday and Saturday nights draw the biggest crowds; Sunday runs shorter with the family programming.
