Hudson Yards

Manhattan

See official site

Official site

The Western Hemisphere's highest outdoor sky deck, jutting 100 stories over Hudson Yards — glass floor, angled glass walls and champagne at the top. Open daily in all weather.

Unlike enclosed decks, Edge puts you outside in the skyline — wind included — with the glass floor and angled walls turning the visit into a mild adventure sport. Its southwest perch gives the best simultaneous view of the Midtown wall, One World Trade and the Hudson. Timed-entry pricing rewards planners: book the sunset slot weeks ahead and it's the best golden-hour vantage in the city.

What to expect

Timed entry from 30 Hudson Yards' 4th floor, an ear-popping elevator, and 20–60 minutes on the deck depending on lingering. Winter visits are cold but empty; the indoor viewing floor and bar offer retreat. Champagne bar on deck; City Climb costs extra.

Good to know

  • Year-round daily operation per the venue's own site: 'Open daily, whatever the weather' (edgenyc.com/en/plan-your-visit, checked Aug 2026) — indoor floors cover rainy days
  • General admission from around $42 online; book date and time ahead for best pricing
  • Sunset slots sell out first — reserve those well in advance
  • Entrance inside the Shops at Hudson Yards, Level 4; 7 train to 34 St-Hudson Yards
  • City Climb (the external crown climb) is a separate, pricier ticket

Going? Keep it.

Common questions

Is Edge open in winter / bad weather?

Yes — the site states it's open daily whatever the weather; the outdoor deck stays open in cold and light precipitation, and indoor viewing floors back it up in storms.

Edge vs. the other decks?

Edge is the outdoor-thrill pick — glass floor, open air, angled glass. Summit is the art-experience, Top of the Rock the classic postcard view. Sunset at Edge is the strongest single slot.
