Fright Fest turns Six Flags Great America into the region's biggest Halloween park event, in the park's 50th-anniversary season. At night the park runs haunted mazes, including The Conjuring Universe, SAW: Legacy of Terror and the new Blair Witch: No Signal, plus scare zones like Necropolis. The coasters keep running into the night.

What to expect

This weekend the mazes open at 6 or 6:30 p.m. and run until the park closes. Nightly shows include The Uprising at 5:45 p.m. and the Procession of Nightmares at 6 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, the park runs daytime family events with a corn maze and trick-or-treating.

Good to know

Park hours are 5–11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday.
The haunted mazes need a separate Haunted Attractions Pass on top of park admission.
Six Flags does not recommend Fright Fest for children under 13 after 6 p.m.
Every guest needs their own paid admission ticket.
Gurnee is about an hour north of downtown Chicago by car.
