For one Saturday the zoo runs a Hispanic Heritage program on top of a normal visit: Latin music, folkloric dance and salsa lessons at The Pavilions, bilingual storytimes and local author readings at the Hamill Family Nature Plaza, paper-flower workshops in the early afternoon, and animal presentations with Spanish-language support around the grounds. Everything is included with admission, so it costs no more than a regular zoo day.
