This is a long-running neighborhood tradition in the foothills above Glendale, and it takes over the Montrose Shopping Park's main street. It runs for one day only, and it is walkable and family-friendly in a way the big fairground Oktoberfests are not. You get German food, beer, live music and carnival rides in a small-town setting.
What to expect
A closed-off stretch of Honolulu Avenue with food and beer stations, a music stage and dancing, plus carnival rides and games for kids. It gets busier as the afternoon turns into evening.
Good to know
- It runs Saturday only, from noon to 10 PM.
- The organizer does not list admission prices; check the Montrose Chamber's Oktoberfest page before you go.
- Lederhosen are optional, per the organizer.
- Bring ID if you plan to drink beer or wine.
