Eighty minutes, six microphones and a band of four women on a riser behind them: Six is the most efficient piece of pop craftsmanship on Broadway and never lets the energy sag. Each queen gets a number modelled on a different modern pop star, so the show doubles as a very funny survey of the last twenty years of chart music. If you want a Broadway night that still leaves the evening open for dinner and a bar, nothing else does it this well.
What to expect
A straight-through concert staging with lighting rig, hand-held mics and Tudor-meets-clubwear costume, building to a megamix finale the whole house is on its feet for. Expect the crowd to sing along to Ex-Wives and Six, and no intermission at any point.
