The TCS New York City Marathon runs on Sunday, November 1, 2026, and NYRR is marking it as the 50th anniversary of the five-borough course — first run in 1976 to celebrate the nation's bicentennial. NYRR has published the wave schedule: five waves starting between 9:10am and 11:30am, from the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge to the finish in Central Park, with official finishers recorded through 10pm. Watching is free everywhere along the 26.2 miles, and NYRR designates four pedestrian crossing zones for getting across the course.
