Hand Hospitality closed its kaiseki restaurant Towa in July and reopened the Flatiron space in August around a bowl of ramen that costs $9.99. The style is Nagahama, the thin, fast-cooking noodle developed for workers at a Fukuoka fish market, and the whole operation is built for speed: walk in, order by QR code, eat. The doors stay open until 2 a.m. every night.
What to expect
The menu is three items long, so decide between original and spicy before you sit down and add toppings from there. There are no reservations and no table service - you scan a QR code and order from your phone. Because it runs until 2 a.m. daily, it works as both a cheap weekend lunch and a post-drinks stop.
Good to know
- Open every day from 10:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., a rare late-night Flatiron option.
- Walk-in only with QR-code ordering - no reservations and no waiter.
- Original ramen is $9.99; the spicy version is a dollar more.
