Twisted Trails is a haunted walk through the woods in Annadale, built out into 36 themed lands and, for its sixth season, four new giant figures looming over the path. It is a homegrown haunt with real range: full scare-actor nights for thrill-seekers and actor-free walks for kids. If you want a Halloween outing on Staten Island without a drive to New Jersey, this is the neighborhood pick.
What to expect
You buy tickets at the front gate, join the line and walk the forest trail at night past themed scenes, giant figures and costumed actors. Most nights have actors in force; sessions marked no-actors let you see the whole trail with far fewer jump scares.

Common questions
Are there actors every night?
Most sessions have live actors. The posted calendar labels the no-actor sessions, which are the least scary way to walk the trail.
Is it OK for kids?
All ages are welcome. Families with small children often pick the no-actor or daytime walks, which include a scavenger hunt.
Can I buy tickets online?
No. Tickets are sold at the front gate on the night, and entry is not guaranteed unless you add the fast pass.
