What to expect
Three to four hours is a fair visit and you will still miss corners; the paths loop and double back by design. Door to door from Penn Station it is a solid six-hour day, or an easy evening if you go after 5pm on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday and let the lighting do the work. Book before you leave the city - entry is advance timed ticket only.
