JRAD is not a cover band and Deadheads will fight you about it: Joe Russo, Marco Benevento, Tom Hamilton, Scott Metzger and Dave Dreiwitz take the Grateful Dead songbook apart and rebuild it with a heavier, jazzier engine, and no two nights are the same setlist. Two shows on an open rooftop with the Brooklyn Bridge lit behind them is about the most New York way to hear it. If you go both nights you will not hear the same jam twice.
What to expect
Doors open in the late afternoon and the band plays long, with sets ending by the venue's 10 p.m. curfew. The rooftop is open-air standing room, with bars around the deck and skyline views from most of it. Setlists differ night to night, which is why people buy both.

- Tickets through AXS or the AXS Box Office at Pier 17
