About
Free Thursday-night outdoor movies on Pier 1's Harbor View Lawn with the Manhattan skyline as the backdrop — Brooklyn Bridge Park's signature summer series.
There is no better free movie in the city — you sit on a lawn at the water's edge with the Brooklyn Bridge and lower Manhattan lit up behind the screen. The series programs crowd-pleasers chosen by public vote and a DJ warms up the lawn beforehand. It is the easiest great summer night in Brooklyn. Arrive early, bring a picnic and stay for the skyline after the credits roll.
What to expect
Lawn opens around 6pm with music and food vendors; the film starts at sunset (about 8:30pm in July). Bring a blanket; low chairs only.
