A silent disco in a public playground is one of the strangest and best things the city does: dozens of people dancing hard in total ambient silence, with the joke landing again every time you pull a headset off. What to expect
Staff hand out wireless headsets at a table near the playground entrance, and dancers switch between channels as the DJ mixes. The scene is a mix of neighborhood families, kids on scooters and adults who came specifically to dance. It runs in the early evening rather than late, so it stays light for most of it.
