Artist Alley is the reason a lot of people buy a badge at all. It is the one place where you can hand a book to the person who drew it and get it signed, or commission a sketch on the spot, without a queue system or a paid photo op. Go Thursday if you want actual conversations; by Saturday the aisles are shoulder to shoulder.
