For one Saturday, Madison Street between Lewis and Stuyvesant goes head-to-toe summer white for Bed-Stuy's answer to Diner en Blanc — a daytime brunch block party where, as the organizers put it, the block becomes the backdrop and you are the designer. DJ Pleasure and the Press Play dance party hold down the music while twenty brunch tables, a comedy show, and a kids corner with its own DJ fill out the street.
What to expect
A dressed-up daytime block party: 20 brunch tables seating 6-8 guests each, live entertainment, a family-friendly comedy show, back-to-school giveaways, health screenings, and local vendor booths, capped by the Press Play dance party.
