A genuine working farm inside city limits throws open its gates for a free corn festival: husking races, cornhole, sack races, corn-husk wreath weaving and a Corn Talk Table on Native American gem corn. It is the launch party for New York City's only corn maze, three acres of stalks planted on land farmed continuously since 1697. If you have kids and want one day that feels nothing like the city, take them here.
What to expect
Barns, goats, sheep and a farmhouse dating to 1772, with activity tents scattered across the field between them. Kids rotate through husking stations and craft tables while hayrides loop the property and food vendors work corn into everything. The maze entrance opens the same morning, so expect a queue building at the field.

- Free on-site parking is the easiest arrival; the farm sits on Little Neck Parkway
- By transit, take the E or F to Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike then the Q46 bus toward Little Neck Parkway
- Admission to the festival and the farm grounds costs nothing, but the maze, hayrides and face painting are ticketed separately

Common questions
Is the corn maze included?
No. Entry to Corn Fest and the farm grounds is free, but the Amazing Maize Maze is ticketed separately at $17 for adults and $10 for children ages 3 to 11. Kids two and under are free.
How do I get there without a car?
Take the E or F train to Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike and transfer to the Q46 bus, riding east to Little Neck Parkway. The farm is a short walk from the stop. Allow extra travel time from Manhattan.
Can I see the animals?
Yes. Queens County Farm keeps sheep, goats, chickens and other livestock, and the barn areas are open to visitors during festival hours at no charge.
