What to expect
Verdi's darkest and most compressed Shakespeare setting, staged new for the Met by a director making her house debut, in the 3,800-seat opera house at Lincoln Center. Expect roughly three and a half hours with intermissions, the Met orchestra and chorus at full strength, and the sleepwalking scene as the evening's centerpiece.
