MG Walk New York

Brooklyn walks for a cure — the New York MG Walk circles Marine Park's oval to fund myasthenia gravis research and support families.

The MG Walk is the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America's flagship event series, and the New York walk gathers the region's MG community — patients whose 'snowflake disease' varies wildly person to person, plus the families and neurologists in their corner. Marine Park's flat oval keeps the route accessible to walkers managing fatigue and weakness, which is the point. Join to support someone you know, or just to swell the crowd for a disease that rarely gets one.

What to expect

A morning gathering with team check-ins, a short program, and a group walk around the oval at whatever pace works; expect team shirts, tribute signs and a strong community feel. The formal portion is brief — community time is the substance.

Good to know

  • Marine Park's oval is off Fillmore Ave at Marine Park's east side
  • B2/B31/B100 buses reach Fillmore Ave; street parking is workable
  • Registration and fundraising happen via the MG Walk site; spectating is free
  • The flat paved oval is fully accessible for mobility devices
  • Team tents and check-in open well before the walk starts
