Sokolovskaya works in acrylic plaster, silicone, ceramic and wood and refuses to override what each material does on its own, so the sculptures sag, set and hold in ways she only partly controls. They read as bodies without ever resolving into figures. What to expect
A domestic-scale show inside a historic officers' house, so you move between rooms rather than around a gallery floor. Sculptures share space with works on paper, and the scale stays intimate throughout. Opening day means the artist and residency staff are usually around to talk about the work.
