Southeast Queens' Caribbean community has one of the city's strongest walking-group cultures, and the Striders' annual breast cancer walk channels it into a sea of pink moving through Brookville Park. It's equal parts fitness, fundraiser and family reunion — survivors honored, music playing, everyone welcome to join the laps. Community health events don't come more heartfelt.
