West Harlem Piers is a slim strip of waterfront between the Hudson and Riverside Drive where the sunset lands directly on the stage, and Friday Night Jams is the free series that uses it best. This closing edition brings Ilana Morris and her classic R&B with a modern edge, capping a run that has included fingerstyle guitar, improvisational jazz and indie soul across the summer. If you want live music, a river view and no ticket at all, this is the last chance until next year.
What to expect
An open-air waterfront set with limited unreserved seating and plenty of standing and leaning room along the pier railings. Expect a relaxed, all-ages Harlem crowd, boats and kayaks passing on the Hudson, food from the neighboring pier concession, and a program that runs into the evening light.
