Tauba Auerbach makes art out of the edges where order breaks down, and here that edge is foam, photographed through a microscope and rebuilt dot by hand-painted dot on panels that float off the wall. Small black-and-white photos catch hot and cold water currents invisible to the eye, glass chimes add a crystalline soundtrack, and paired sculptures turn slowly around each other. If you like art that rewards slow looking, go.
What to expect
The gallery mixes large pointillist foam paintings with small-format thermal photographs of water, while glass chimes hang around the room and kinetic sculptures rotate in pairs. It is a calm, immersive space, so expect to linger and listen as much as look.
