Comic Con's 20th edition takes over the Javits with a Coney Island theme, NCIS: New York with LL Cool J and the Crown cosplay finals.

For four days the Javits becomes the city's loudest fandom convention, and this 20th edition leans into a Coney Island theme. Friday carries an Avatar: Seven Havens premiere and a ONE PIECE spotlight, Saturday brings the Crown Championships of Cosplay to the Main Stage, and Sunday puts LL Cool J and Scott Caan on stage for NCIS: New York. If you have never seen the West Side in full costume, go this weekend.

What to expect

Expect a huge show floor of exhibitors and exclusives, an Artist Alley, panel rooms that fill fast, and cosplayers everywhere inside and outside the building. Each day has its own identity, from Big Screen Friday to Crown Saturday and a family-leaning Sunday with a dedicated Family HQ.

Good to know

  • Show-floor hours are Thursday through Saturday from 10am to 7pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm; Artist Alley stays open until 8pm Thursday through Saturday.
  • Panel hours are Thursday from 10am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 11pm, and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
  • Only Thursday tickets remain: a full-day badge costs $104, a child badge with an adult ticket costs $39, and the after-3pm ticket costs $55.
  • Will call is open Thursday from 7am to 8pm, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 8pm, and Sunday from 8am to 5pm.
