For four days the Javits becomes the city's loudest fandom convention, and this 20th edition leans into a Coney Island theme. Friday carries an Avatar: Seven Havens premiere and a ONE PIECE spotlight, Saturday brings the Crown Championships of Cosplay to the Main Stage, and Sunday puts LL Cool J and Scott Caan on stage for NCIS: New York. If you have never seen the West Side in full costume, go this weekend.

What to expect

Expect a huge show floor of exhibitors and exclusives, an Artist Alley, panel rooms that fill fast, and cosplayers everywhere inside and outside the building. Each day has its own identity, from Big Screen Friday to Crown Saturday and a family-leaning Sunday with a dedicated Family HQ.

Good to know

  • Take the 7 train to 34 St–Hudson Yards, the closest subway stop to the Javits.
  • Saturday, 4-day and VIP badges are sold out, so Friday and Sunday are the realistic days to buy.
  • Popular panels use a reservation system; check the schedule and reserve in the official app.
  • Review the cosplay and prop rules before you build a costume around a replica weapon.
  • Sunday is pitched as the best day for families, with Family HQ activities.
  • An ADA assistance program is available; register through the official site.
