A proper county fair on a Hudson pier is a genuinely odd collision, and the sideshow acts make it more interesting than a standard street festival. It is free, it is on the water, and it runs long enough that you can drift in whenever. Good for families without being only for them.

What to expect

An open pier with amusements, vendor stalls and a stage, running through the afternoon. Come and go as you like. Food is sold on site.
