Metrograph is an independent movie theater at 7 Ludlow Street on Manhattan's Lower East Side, opened in 2016. It programs rare archival screenings in 35mm and digital, special premieres, and Q&As, and the same building holds a restaurant called The Commissary, a bookstore, and a Candy Store. Seating is assigned, so buying online in advance is how you choose seats: general admission is $18, member tickets are $11, and seniors 65 and over or guests with disabilities pay $12 when buying in person. Membership starts at $5 a month and adds streaming through Metrograph At Home. The box office opens thirty minutes before the day's first showtime, and anyone arriving 15 minutes after a show's scheduled start is not admitted. The Commissary restaurant serves Wednesday through Sunday from 5pm.
