The New Museum is a contemporary art museum at 235 Bowery in Manhattan, phone 212.219.1222. Its 60,000-square-foot OMA-designed expansion reopened March 21, 2026. After a short installation closure it reopens September 24, 2026 with the fall exhibitions Arthur Jafa: I Am Tony, Diego Marcon: Arrivederci, Piggies!, The Bowery: Devil’s Mile and Hyundai Translocal Series: Ho Tzu Nyen. From that date the posted hours are 11am–6pm Tuesday through Sunday, 11am–9pm on Thursday, closed Monday. Adults are $28 and visitors 18 and under are free. A weekend visit means booking a ticket first, checking large bags at the lobby coat check, and eating at Oberon, the restaurant inside the museum.
