The US Open plants a free, weeklong outpost in Hudson Yards' Public Square starting on the tournament's opening Sunday. Two 40-foot Wilson-equipped courts let you actually swing a racquet, a gaming arena runs Roblox, Fortnite and TIEBREAK tennis titles, and ESPN's coverage plays on the big screen all day. Nightly DJ sets on the Vessel close things out, free to watch from the square.
What to expect
A tennis-takeover of the Public Square: playable red-ball courts with racquets provided by Wilson, a recreated player tunnel with a champions' photo op, and a gaming arena stocked with tennis titles. ESPN's US Open coverage runs on the big screen all day, with official merch, brand sampling, and DJ sets on the Vessel from 5 to 8 PM each night.
