The Museum of Modern Art is at 11 West 53 Street in Midtown Manhattan. General admission enters the Rockefeller Building on 53rd Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues, just east of the Museum Store. The door sits opposite the 5 Avenue-53 St E/M subway station, down the block heading west; members use a separate 54th Street entrance. MoMA opens daily at 10:30 a.m., closing at 5:30 p.m. and at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, and shuts only on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Adult admission is $30 and covers every gallery and special exhibition; children 16 and under are free but still need a ticket. Advance online purchase is required to guarantee entry. On Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., select galleries open to members and their guests only.
