Forest Park is the least visited of the big Queens parks and its fair is the one day the neighborhoods around it, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven, Glendale, converge on the same lawn. Fifty-one years makes it older than most street fairs in the city. And the setting, old-growth oak forest rather than a closed avenue, is a different experience from any of the weekend's street fairs.
