Official site

Pianist Beatrice Rana plays a Prokofiev concerto with the New York Philharmonic across four performances, April 22–27, 2027.

Rana is one of the most exciting pianists under 35, and Prokofiev's concertos are showpieces that reward her steel-and-silk technique. The Friday 2pm matinee is the Philharmonic's best-kept secret for visitors — cheaper, uncrowded and done by 4pm. Four dates give plenty of flexibility. Late April is also when Lincoln Center's plaza fountain and café terraces are back in full use.

What to expect

A full orchestral program of about two hours with intermission; the concerto usually falls in the first half.
